→The original CLIMAP LGM SST reconstruction indicated very little tropical cooling (~ 1˚C) based on the use of the transfer function technique to calculate SST based on fossil planktic foraminifer assemblages. More recent proxies indicate a greater temperature occurred, but the magnitude remained in question. Sr/Ca and from corals and tropical snowlines indicated ~ 4-5˚C, while Mg/Ca from planktic foraminifers indicated on the order of 2-3˚C. The above paper proposed a uniform lowering of the original CLIMAP SSTs. This "Modified CLIMAP SST" is supported by a bayesian metanalysis (Ballantyne et al., 2005) and should be used in place of the original CLIMAP SSTs.

→This paper presents the Uranium budget. The authors try to estimate the incertitudes linked to the differents sinks and sources published values in order to constrain the budget. They found that the Uranium budget is in equilibrium during the Holocene, however they insist that the lack of knowledge of the different fluxes can influence this equilibrium.
